Terms and conditions
The 47. GRENZLAND-FILMTAGE International FilmFestival 2024 will take place in Selb and Regensburg (Germany) and in Aš (Czech Republic).
It is an independent festival of European film, especially Eastern Europe, children´s film, documentary (max. 60 minutes) and short film. Only DCP or file formats will be screened. No screening fees will be paid.
The festival is organized and presented by

The application (online via entry form on our website) together with the online screener (alternatively DVD-copy*) must be submitted to
Verein zur Förderung grenzüberschreitender Film- und Kinokultur e.V.,
Lessingstraße 8, D-95100 Selb
by November 15, 2023.
The following has to be enclosed with the entry form or handed in after the film was selected:
- bio- and filmography of the director
- photo of the director
- press booklet and reviews, age rating
- film stills
- posters
- short film content
If the submittant is not identical with the copyright holder, he/she asserts that he/she is entitled to submit the film to the festival.
By submitting a film the submittant confirms that (in case the film is selected) he/she will put the film at the GRENZLAND-FILMTAGE International FilmFestival's and possibly at the Best-of selection, shown to our international partner festivals disposal, for screening. If a submitted film is accepted for the program and cannot be shown by fault of the submittant, he/she is liable to pay compensation for the damage or additional costs for a substitute film.
* In case of providing DVD-copies:
DVD-copies with the submitted films must have arrived in Selb by November 15, 2023 and should bear the remark "no commercial value, for cultural use only". If the sender would like to receive the DVD back, he/she has to pay for the return postage in advance.
The postage for the return of the film is paid by the organizer - except when the sender choses an exceedingly expensive means of transportation or the film is supposed to be sent to another festival after the Grenzland-Filmtage International FilmFestival. A detailed consultation will be in each case before the festival.

Course and airport address on request
The films are insured according to their print values for the time of the event, that means from the arrival at the organizer´s until handover to the carrier in order to return it.
Damage done to the print by the organizer must be reported to the organizer immediately-after one week at the latest. Otherwise liability is excluded.
In case the submittant declines our invitation (recalling the film submission after receiving the official letter of invitation), the organizer reserves the right to claim a fee of 50,- Euro for expense compensation.
