Zwischen uns der Himmel

Storyline

Hannes and Micha are brothers and basically inseparable. But then Micha causes a car accident in which his brother's wife is killed. Hannes blames his brother and throws him out of the church on the day of the funeral. The days pass and the two men can't deal with their grief. Micha withdraws more and more and Hannes can't cope with his feelings either. Until they finally face each other again at the place of the accident.

About the film/director

Louisa Grötsch, born in 1992, has been drawn to film since she was a child. In addition to her training as a pediatric nurse, she took private acting lessons and gained her first directing experience at the theater. From 2016 to 2022 she studied film and television, specializing in directing, at the Macromedia University in Munich and directed several study productions. In 2017 she completed a directing internship with Caroline Link. After the birth of her son in 2018, she interrupted her studies for a year and from the beginning of 2020 she devoted herself to her graduation film "Zwischen uns der Himmel". Currently she is working on her feature film debut.
