Storyline

In Cuba in the 1990s, some marginalized punks opted to self-inoculate HIV to enter state-run sanatoriums, seeking shelter, food and freedom to live their passion for punk, unaware that these places would be a “luxury prison”.

About the film/director

Verónica Rodríguez (1979, Spain) is a filmmaker trained at the EICTV (Cuban International Film School in San Antonio de los Baños, Havana), where she graduated with a Master's in Creative Documentary. She also completed her Film Directing training at the CEV School in Madrid. Since then, she has worked on more than thirty film shoots.
Her experience in the camera department as a focus puller has allowed her to develop her sensitivity for cinematography, and she has shot her own creative documentaries, handheld, with a very small crew. Among them, "The Tapestry" stands out.
