Storyline

The central theme of the film VÍTĚZ is the relationship between a father and his son, and the question of when someone can all too easily become a 'fool'.
How can someone who has not experienced a loving and supportive relationship with their own parents find the confidence to create one?

VÍTĚZ tells the story of hope, showing that deep pain can be healed. It is a film about our inner children – everyone has one, whether they are male or female!

About the film/the director

Petr Horký and Jan Budař are two of the most prominent figures on our cultural scene. They are both active in several artistic fields. In the VÍTĚZ project, they combine their creative talents as filmmakers, directors and presenters.
VÍTĚZ (short film with discussion) treats the audience to not only their fifteen-minute feature film, but also a moderated debate afterwards enriched by the artists' personal insights and stories. And they certainly have a lot to say...
