The Sky Was Candy

Storyline

A little child, presumably a boy is enjoying a warm summer day. He eats some candy and is having a sugar rush. In his joy he befriends a little bird and they play together for a while. But the boy can't control his energy and kills the bird by accident. The boy grieves for the bird and it rains. But with the rain comes new life and where once were the birds remains, there is now a flower growing.

About the film/director

Anh Tú Nguyen (*1998) is a visual artist, animator and animation director from Germany. After school he worked as an intern and freelancer at Studio FILM BILDER. In 2023 he graduated from the ABK Stuttgart with a diploma in communication design. Currently he's studying animation directing at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg and teaching analogue animation at the ABK Stuttgart.
