Storyline

Knittlingen, 1789: To escape the clutches of her tyrannical father, young Cornelia decides to run away and buy herself a marriage that will take her to Paris, where she hopes to lead a free life. When a stranger turns up with his pregnant wife at the meeting with her future husband and invites everyone to a picnic, everything turns out differently than planned and Cornelia has to fight for her freedom once again. But this time without regard for losses.

About the film/director

Wouter is a German-Dutch author, filmmaker and curator. In his films, he tries to turn painful subjects into comedies and to wrest a little a bit of meaning out of life. His web series MILIZ! has been shown at numerous international
festivals and won several awards. With Sturm & Drang, Wouter completes his studies at the HFF Munich.
