Stray Flower

Storyline

1904. The German colonial power in South West Africa brutally suppresses the Herero and Nama uprising and commits genocide. Hinavandu, a young Herero, is able to get to a refugee camp before the war. Here, with other refugees, she waits for the Germans to pick them up and take them back to their villages, and she finds her hope again. But on the day of departure, she realizes that they will not be taken home.
