Sterben für Beginner
supporting film "Frau Fleischer will sterben"
Storyline
Successful music manager Erik is in crisis: it's no longer about good music, but about clicks on TicToc. After harsh criticism from his boss following a brilliant rock concert, he quits. Perhaps it's the Freddy Mercury poster “Who wants to live forever” in the shop window that makes him enter a funeral parlor and ask about the internship, perhaps it's a midlife crisis. Shortly afterwards, he learns that his friend Alex has a fatal brain tumor. Alex and his girlfriend Karla are expecting a baby. That too. The lifes of Erik, Alex and Karla fall apart at the seams. There is a lot to organize - but also to live again - quite compulsively. Above everything is the question of how Erik can help his friend or even bury him in the end. But first he has to pass his internship as a mortician. Since the very traditional and sometimes cynical customs of the industry are a thorn in his side, it is not safe at all...
Inspired by the bestseller “The END - the book of death” by Eric Wrede, this is the story of a friendship that deals with life, love, laughter, death and grief.
