Skorbim (We Mourn)

Storyline

Housewife Shura, an elderly widow, visits her late husband Vadik’s grave, only to be met by an elegant woman named Inessa. Inessa claims to have the right to be near Vadik—in every sense. An argument breaks out between the two, during which they realize they have something in common.

About the film/director

Born in Pskovin 1995. Graduated from the Saint Petersburg State Institute of Cinema and Television, majoring in the Direction of feature films and TV films. Part of Artyom Antonov’s workshop. Currently resides in Germany with plans to continue her studies and work in the cinematic field there. During her university years, she directed two short movies—“Bookmark” and “We Mourn”, both of which received grand prizes at the Piterkit festival. Takes part in the shooting of documentaries and feature films as an editor, co-writer, and co-director.
