Storyline

A phone call invites a lonely woman in her forties to meet her ex-lover, who ruthlessly abandoned her years ago. She seems unprepared to confront her lingering emotions.

About the film/director

Born in Qazvin, Ata Mojabi's passion for storytelling has propelled him to become one of Iran's most promising directors and screenwriters. Driven by the pursuit of creativity and collaboration, Ata has garnered recognition for his captivating storytelling and unique vision.
Ata's work is heavily influenced by his love for architecture, often integrating the complexities of urban landscapes and city life into his storytelling. This unique blend of artistic passion and real-world settings results in captivating films that speak to the human experience within an ever-evolving society.
Ata's debut short film, SWEAR BY THE NIGHT (2003), was selected for the 25th Tehran ISFF when he was just 16 years old. Since then, he has continued to push the boundaries of his craft, with his latest films, SineCide or No One Believes Me But The Police Are Chasing The Wrong Man (2018), and PsyChicken (2022) premiering IN SEVERAL prestigious film festivals like 45th Seattle IFF, In The Palace ISFF, L'etrange Film Festival, Iranian Academy Awards, etc. Currently, Ata is presenting his newest short Rekindle (2025) while also developing his first feature film, The K.Kid.
Throughout his career, Ata has had the privilege of collaborating with esteemed Iranian directors such as Nader T. Homayoun and Babak Bahrambeigi, working as a 1st Assistant Director. These experiences have enriched his perspective and further honed his skills as a director and screenwriter.
