Storyline

Marginalized groups are often denied space in public discourse. The events and subsequent boycott at the 2021 Frankfurt Book Fair were no exception. In Raum, those affected, such as Annabelle Mandeng, the author Katya Lwanga and allies such as the publishing house “&Töchter”, describe the events. They share their thoughts and feelings retrospectively - and thus take back space.

About the film/director

Felicia Sippach was born in Munich in 2004 and graduated from high school in 2022. She has been studying in the screenwriting department at the HFF Munich since 2023. Raum was made as part of her studies and is her first film.
