About the film/director

Veronika Hafner, a graduate of the University of Television and Film Munich also holds a degree in psychology from LMU Munich. Her work as a psychotherapist, specializing in dissexuality therapy at Charité, Berlin, profoundly influenced her debut feature OBHUT. Working with pedophile juveniles inspired her to explore complex human experiences in her films. Born in 1989 in Southern Bavaria as the daughter of a grain miller, she now lives in Munich with her partner and two daughters.
