Storyline

As the law student Mara, who has been unable to get involved with anyone physically or emotionally, is confronted with the new happiness from her atoned rapist, she is pressed by the question of law and justice. Is it allowed for a perpetrator to be happier than his victim after serving his sentence?

About the film/director

Nandi Nastasja was born in 1997 in Mönchengladbach, Germany, she graduated in 2024 with a BA in directing from Ludwigsburg. She received a scholarship from the Namibia Initiative of the Ministry of Science and Culture Baden-Württemberg and, with her team, produced the short film "Stray Flower", which premiered at the 44th Max Ophüls Film Festival. Her play "Growth“, developed in collaboration with author Lili Roesing, premiered at the Landestheater Schwaben during the 2022/23 season. Her graduation film "Cherry On Top" had its world premiere at the 42nd Torino Film Festival. She lives and works in Berlin.
