In The Woods
(Im Wald)

Storyline

There is a hidden sacred place deep in the woods. A place where the spirits of the forest were worshiped in the ancient times. Now the spirits are forgotten. But there is still a connection between the past and the present. The past and the present are connected as well as are the nature and the people. The spirits remain to be guardians of the people and when an injured boy showes up, they are willing to help him.
In the Woods is an author made fairy tale with a traditional plot structure, supernatural elements and a positive outcome. The main strength of the work is fine and sensitive animation aesthetics. The narrative refers to old pagan Celtic symbols. Since there is no spoken dialogue the fairy tale is comprehensible to all children no matter the age or nationality
