About the film/director

Richard began filmmaking as a self-taught filmmaker in 2008 and has since directed over 150 projects.
Starting in 2018, he increasingly focused on producing cinematic commercials, which led him to work on international campaigns, including projects for DJI. On many projects, he also serves as cinematographer, and in 2023 he was Director of Photography for the feature film “La Pura Vida (AT).”
In addition to his work as a director, Richard works as a composer for narrative and commercial films and most recently scored projects for Sonos, Canon, and DJI.
Since 2024, he has been studying advertising film directing at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg.

Andreas Bender earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from the Merz Academy in Stuttgart in 2022, during which time he developed his first short film, “Teach me about dying,” as his final project.
During and after his studies, he worked in the advertising industry as a video creator and concept developer. He has been studying at the Film Academy Baden-Württemberg since 2024.
