Storyline

In the wake of their mother's tragic demise, a family becomes host to a peculiar fungal parasite known as Mycel. This extraordinary organism grants them the ability to communicate with the departed. Initially dismissing it as mere fantasy, Lena, the daughter, gradually succumbs to haunting visions, blurring the line between her subconscious and the tangible world. Expect a captivating exploration of the blurred boundaries between the living and the deceased, where reality intertwines with the ethereal.

About the film/director

Daniel Limmer is a filmmaker from Salzburg, Austria specializing in artistic genre films. His feature film debut “Enter Mycel” was produced on a shoestring budget of only 3.000 Euros and premiered at the Max Ophüls Prize 2023 in the official feature film competition. Daniel shot, directed and edited the picture, which is considered a dystopian, psychedelic drama.
