Don Juicy

Storyline

Jorge and his son Emil were supposed to be guests at his boss's birthday party, but when they are unexpectedly asked to fill in as waiters, they are drawn into their host's juicy scheme. Now Emil is struggling with the role of mascot, while Jorge senses an opportunity for career advancement. A story about sweat, (post-)immigrant experiences, family and guacamole. ¡Ay Caramba!

About the film/director

Diego Oliva Tejeda was born 1998 in Guatemala City. After graduating high school and interning in commercials and movies, he went to Munich in 2017 to study feature film directing at HFF Munich. Diego has directed student productions since. He received a Friedrich Ebert Foundation fellowship in 2021. His work has screened at Künstlerhaus Bethanien Berlin and festivals. Diego resides in Munich and is making his graduation film.
