Storyline

A choir of women* voices share their experiences of verbal sexual harassment, also known as catcalling. The individual stories bring to light what many women are confronted with in public space: The use of male power.

About the film/director

Pia Nüchterlein was born in Berlin in 1998 and did theater during her school days. After graduating from high school, she worked as an assistant director in the theater and gained her first experience on film sets. From 2017 to 2022 she studied film at the FH Dortmund. She spent two semesters in Framework of Erasmus+ at EESAB Rennes. During her time at university, she produced short films in both fictional and documentary formats. She completed her studies with her film "Catcalls". Her films are screened at various film festivals. Since 2021 she has been working as a permanent assistant director at the Rheinisches Landestheater Neuss, where she also presents her own works.
