AI AI AI

Jungbrunnen-Spezial

Storyline

A final take, the voice breaks — yet the scene is perfect. What if emotions no longer come from humans? AI AI AI leads into a near future where artificial intelligence clones voices, preserves memories, and raises a quiet yet existential question: Who owns a voice — and who owns the soul behind it?

About the film/director

JÖRN LINNENBRÖKER

I grew up in the Rhineland, completed a Master's degree in theatre and media studies, English and education in Bavaria and then went on to study acting and singing at the University of the Arts in Berlin.

After my training, I spent many years in the theatre. My first major engagement took me to Hamburg in the far north, but I have also had the opportunity to perform at wonderful theatres in the far south (Munich, Vienna, Klagenfurt, Lucerne).

I have have taken on a few roles in series and film productions. The comedy VOICE OVER, which I produced myself, was awarded the short film prize at the FÜNF SEEN FILMFESTIVAL in Bavaria, screened at over 20 international festivals and was the opening film at the German Dubbing Award in Berlin.

I am a regular dubbing actor in the studio and also work as a writer and dubbing director. In 2022 I was part the jury ‘Die Stimme’ at the DEUTSCHER SCHAUSPIELPREIS in Berlin. As a dubbing actor, writer and director, I work for clients such as Netflix, Amazon, Disney+, Paramount, ARD / ZDF, RTL and ARTE.

NEDA RAHMANIAN

I am a German actress with Iranian roots. After studying acting at the University of Music and Theatre in Rostock (1999–2003), I spent ten years performing on stage at renowned theaters in Hamburg, Zurich, and Basel.

In 2014, I transitioned to film with my first leading role in “Leberkäseland” and have since appeared in numerous films and TV productions, including “Looking for Oum Kulthum” by Shirin Neshat, which premiered at the Venice International Film
Festival. I have worked as a voice actor for 15 years, witnessing how AI increasingly replaces human work while the nuance, depth, and precision of our craft remain irreplaceable.

In 2024, I stepped behind the camera for the first time and am currently working on my debut documentary film. Collaborating with Jörn Linnenbröker, with whom I have also worked in voice acting, on a project that is deeply important to both of us
gave me the opportunity to gain artistic and organizational experience on a feature film, in which I also acted.

Director’s statement

JÖRN LINNENBRÖKER
It is important to me to talk about artificial intelligence in art and to raise awareness for its conscious and ethical use. As a dubbing actor and dialogue director, I am directly affected by current developments in my industry – like so many others in the arts. AI offers many opportunities, but a shift in values is also emerging. My statement: Protect art – regulate AI.
